Rockwall Petco employee Kayla Canavier (center) joins Rockwall animal shelter volunteers Pam Kitkoski (with Jake) and Barbara Seed (holding Sandy) to celebrate the ongoing success of the Tree of Hope. Petco shoppers have been making holiday donations to the Rockwall Animal Adoption Center through the Tree of Hope program. The Rockwall Petco has already raised nearly half of its $4000 goal. The normal Saturday adoption rate more than doubled during our third annual National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week open house and party on November 6. Stacey South, along with her children Zoe and Logan, adopted Dora during the event.
This is a miracle dog. Archie was found in pitiful shape about two months ago. Scarred, starving and scared, this lab mix could have been classified a cruelty case.
